This will be the artists first time in Canada with dates booked in Montreal and throughout southeastern Ontario.
The tour was announced by Canada’s P.R. firm Empowerment Media Group and Montreal’s event organizers Triple AAA Entertainment early last week upon the receipt of the artists travel visa.
The two power businesses joined forces to book tour dates for the up and coming artist marking the start of a new collaboration for the Montreal companies. Since the announcement early last week DeeWunn’s social media has been buzzing with excitement. Comments under the Tours online flyer read “Finally!” and “Can’t wait!” by his long-time fans.
The tour is named after his popular collaboration “Mek It Bunx Up” with Marcy Chin which has been creating a buzz across the world since its release late 2013. He has since released his playlist mix, “Banggaz” which is the combination of an E.P. and Mixtape. Banggaz helped the artist gain solid industry recognition being his most powerful project to date.
It garnered DeeWunn a feature in the Sunday Gleaner this past November and has received approximately a 1000 downloads to date amongst his viral fans. Recently the Banggaz featured freestyle “Lazer Tag”, which was done for Major Lazer, has taken hold with radio DJ’s and dancers across the world. It received its Jamaican premier 2 weeks ago on ZIPFM on ZJ Dymond’s Hip-Hop segments and since then the popularity has continued to grow.
Currently, as he awaits the upcoming tour, the artist is working furiously in the studio concentrating on different projects for the near future. In the new year, the artist looks to continue the promotion of “Banggaz” with new and exciting music videos in the works. His team also has been in touch with promoters worldwide booking summer dates in various parts of the world. With much-deserved success coming on multiple levels, 2015 looks very promising for DeeWunn.
