Kabaka Pyramid Set To Represent Reggae At South West Music Festival

Fresh from his standout performance at Rebel Salute 2015, Reggae artiste Kabaka Pyramid has been recently announced as an official performer at the annual South by South West (SxSW) music festival and conference taking place March 17-22 in Austin,Texas.

SxSW is the world's leading music industry event, which offers attendees the opportunity to explore the future of the music industry during the day at panels, talks, the Trade Show, Music Gear Expo and other conference activities at the Austin Convention Center.

Now in its 29th year, SxSW is the premier global stage for musicians and cultural leaders to showcase their latest works. The festival features programming from industry notables, artist focused workshops and world class exhibitions. At night downtown Austin comes alive with over 100 stages and 2,200 artists.

Speaking on the announcement Kabaka states:

"It is an honour to be invited by the organizers to represent Jamaica and Reggae music on such a large platform, there will be artists and musicians from all over the world and I along with my band the Bebble Rockers are excited to be a part of it".

Kabaka Pyramid has also been given the title 'Bob Marley Ambassador' as part of the 70th birthday celebrations by the Bob Marley Group of Companies and is gearing up for his debut performance in Miami on February 15th alongside Stephen Marley and Jo Mersa.

The Rebel with a cause is now making preparations for the official release of his new single "Well Done" produced by Damian "Jr Gong" Marley. 'Well Done" encompasses a poignant message during these crucial times for Jamaica.
