Tommy T Ready To Make His Mark

Reggae singer Tommy T is steadily carving a niche for himself in the music business. The talented artiste who hails from Linstead area of St. Catherine has had a lifelong affinity with music. Like most Jamaican artistes Tommy T was first exposed to singing and music through the Church.

“I began singing in church when I was a small boy, just eight years old. It was an awesome experience, it really inspired me to pursue a career in music,” said the artiste

Tommy T whose real name is Wade Thompson began his recording career in 1994 with the release of a single called, Police & Soldier. After that he recorded and released a number of other singles, but he was unable to focus all his attention on music as he also had a job in the corporate world.

“I began recording in the 90s, but at the time I also had a job in the corporate world. I also worked and lived abroad for a number of years, so I wasn’t able to concentrate on my music career.”

The soft spoken singer is determined now more than ever to make his mark on the local music industry. He recently released two new singles, Never Learn & Good Use, both singles were produced and released on the Tee & Jaa imprint.

“I’m currently promoting two new songs, both of them are getting good rotation. I recently shot a video for Never Learn, it should be ready for release by the second week of May,” said Tommy T.
